Doug Murdoch founded Murdoch Travel in 1989 and soon after we became Barrie's favourite and most reliable travel agency. After more than 20 years of successful vacations, Doug began mentoring Jeff to take over the business at his retirement. Sadly, Doug passed away in June of 2016. Jeff successfully ran the day-to-day operation of Murdoch Travel in the interim until he purchased the agency from the family estate in February 2017. Since then, we've grown and thrived.

Melissa is an industry veteran having worked from both the perspective of the tour operator and a travel agency. After a brief break from the industry to start her family, she's back and proudly joins the team at Murdoch Travel. In her spare time, Melissa can be found chasing her two young sons around, catching a Leaf game, or on the water fishing with her husband. Her favourite destination is Mexico and is looking forward to exploring her roots in Italy in the near future.
